There is good demand for all items at this time, and the market looks to be regaining buyer's confidence. The forcast of the price increase came true and in these last few weeks prices are showing signs of stability and strength, due to continued demand and business.

​New crop prices, in general, seem to be trading at a 10 cents discount from spot prices.

​Blanchable standards for new crop are seeing activity at around US$2.00 to $2.05 per lb. California growers/processors are still undersold, but the uncommitted inventory is at 650 million pounds. On the data front, based on information from last 5 years, if for this crop year we continue at this rate of shipments, carry over into new crop will be approximately 550 million pounds.
